We see alot of things in the world today. Some good and some bad.

But today I saw somethig I rarely see and it made me feel good.

There was a little old couple that came in and ordered pizza today. Sweet, but confused as all get out. When the lady went to pay for her food, she tried to write a check. Unfortunately for her we don't accept checks. So she goes to give me a credit card. Unfortunately the one she handed me we don't accept either. She finally gave me one I could swipe and then it declined. I felt so bad for her. But then a woman that was in line behind her came up to the counter and said "Put it on my card." I asked her if she was really sure and she said she was positive, in a very determined tone, too.

Now, mind you, Sweet Little Granny racked up about $30 worth of food, then the woman that paid for it put in her own order of about $20. The poor old lady was confused and when she realized the woman paid for her order she demanded I refund the other woman. I offered and the Woman just laughed it off and said it was ok. I thanked her about as much as the Granny did and I told the Woman I'd hook her up next time she came in (I was gonna do it today but she insisted on spending more money, and for business purposes, today, I didn't comlain).

All around it was just good to see and it made my 3rd double shift in a row feel alot better than it did right before that. Especially given how tight everyone is with money right now it was an extremely generous gift and made me feel warm and fuzzy.

I guess there aren't just assholes in the world anymore. My faith in the existance of humanity has been raised a little bit more. Now I feel like I need to do something generous, but I'm not sure what. Maybe it'll be a random act of kindness like I saw today.. ^_^
